I recommend that you install the mgetty RPM package, then 'info mgetty'.
Setup mgetty for your dial-in serial port with the AutoPPP feature (see
the login.config file). As you will probably use pppd v2.3.x, you might
want to modify the options accordingly (the mgetty examples use v2.2.0
options). Note that you will need to configure pap-secrets for pppd.
