What are you dialing into? The Cisco 5200's are pretty broken when it
comes it the Linux PPP implementation -- doesn't respond to the LCP
packets correctly. Lucent (Livingston) claims that PPP was broken on
some redhat systems (and their new ComOS fixes it), but Cisco, AFAIK,
has never worked towards compatibility. Now, I haven't tried to dial into
a Cisco in a while, and they may have fixed it with newer IOS's....
