What is module ppp-compress-26?

I have just upgraged to kernel 2.2.0pre3 and ppp 2.3.5, and now when I
connect I get messages saying that modpobe could not find
ppp-compress-26.

Initially it also complained about ppp-compress-21 & 24, but seaching
the web I was able to find the mappings to add to /etc/conf.modules,
but I could find nothing on ppp-compress-26.
