Hi !
I'm running Slackware-3.6 (kernel version 2.0.35) with pppd-2.2.0f
(connecting with ISP throw SRM - no crtscts, only xonxoff) and have
following problem:
Sometimes it quits without any (as I can see) reason.
In /var/adm/messages appears string like this
Jan 27 10:00:01 gonzo pppd[3898]: Exit.
In /var/adm/syslog 2 strings appear:
Jan 27 10:00:01 gonzo pppd[3898]: ioctl(PPPIOCGIDLE): Operation not
permitted
Jan 27 10:00:01 gonzo pppd[3898]: ioctl(PPPIOCGDEBUG): Operation not
permitted
In past I used 2.0.33 and all seems to be ok.
Any ideas ?
It is very critical for me. My local office network get internet
connection via this Linux server and I need to keep it reliable.
regards, stan.
