I have been able to login to RedHat 5.1 from Win95 using a simple terminal emulator and a getty on a null modem cable. Now I am trying to connect via dial-up networking and running pppd on Linux over the null modem. I have found several references for this scenario. All of them prescribe something with varying amounts of overlap. After trying a few different things, I still cannot get the ppp established. I would appreciate advice and pointers to some specific directions or ideas for debugging. Thanks -- Patrick D.
