I saw the messages on troubles with the pluses + + +, so I tried sending this
message to my forwarding address, and I got it back with no modem disruption:
To:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
From:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Subject:Three plus signs hang modem?
Will three consecutive plus signs with no space in between hang the modem or put
it in command mode? Let's try ++++++++++++ +++
No way to find out other than by experiment!

This was done under OS/2 Warp, but if it were a modem problem, it ought to have
the same effect in any OS.
