Hi there-

I'm hoping that someone can either point me in the right direction on this
one. I have a PPP server running on a Linux 2.0.34 kernel with ppp
2.1.(whatever was the default for 2.0.34) successfully serving a USR modem pool
on a T-1 for all sorts of different computers. The PPP negotiation is handled
after the user enters a valid username and skey response at the standard unix
login prompt. The trouble is that we can not get *ANY* NT boxes to connect
successfully. The PPP negotiation always fails with a variety of errors, most
common is that the protocols could not converge. The NT box usually stalls
reporting that it is attempting to "register" on the network.

We have attempted every possible configuration on the NT side (version 4.0,
with no SP, SP1, SP2, and SP3.. No change) and a number of computer/modem
combinations.

Any insights are welcome. I have read all of the relevant faqs but have
not seen any reference to this particular problem

Many thanks!
