I'm seeing some odd behavior. If I start pppd without the noipdefault
flat, it hangs immediately -- as in, if I have debugging turned on, I
get no ``pppd started by'' message, and I do get

Feb 9 18:41:57 noodlenoggin diald[119]: Running pppd (pid = 3118).
Feb 9 18:42:57 noodlenoggin diald[119]: pppd startup timed out. Check your pppd
options. Killing pppd.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior? I've hacked diald to pass diald
this option, and diald has started working for me. But, diald waits a
*long* time (probably 10-20 seconds) to start trying to connect. Any
idea why?
