I'd have thought that pppd's "demand" option would work fine; I have no
idea about diald as I have never used it.
With pppd set to "demand", surely all you need to do is configure the
various instances of pppd, and make sure that your routing is set
correctly. When a packet arrives and is routed to an interface that is
an on-demand connection, a dialup will be initiated. Or am I forgetting
something?
