Hello All, I have been attempting to get pppd to function
        across a link thru the I-modem . & I get a -good- connection .
But I notice that the remote equipment is seeing the I-modem
asking for MRU 1526 . (I have access to the term server command
        line & monitoring functions .)

Is there by chance built into the I-modem an MRU value ?

No matter what I set mtu/mru to in options file the far end see's
1526 & my packets fail to return to me . If I use the
        size function of ping ie:

        ping -s 1444 -c 5 'two routers further out'

I usually only see no responses , IE: 100% packet loss .

Then if I reduce the size to 288 I'll usually get 0% packet loss
But I can't seem to telnet or ftp . traceroute If I am lucky will
show me the term server I am dialed into with the I-modem & then
        time out (*) .

                        Any help appreciated, JimL
