Greetings

This is not strictly speaking a ppp-related problem, but you probably have a lock file
left lying around on your system. On my Slackware system email lock files are in
/var/tmp/.pop and are files with the same name as the user. Just remove those files
and everything should work. I am not sure why they are left there, possibly it has
something to do with a new email arriving for the user while they are reading their
existing mails. However it happens sufficiently infrequently not to warrant a panic.
