Hello. This problem just cropped up: Our dial-in user cannot log on anymore. I checked the passwd file and the username is still there but when I do the finger command, the user is unknown. I tried to add another user and it's ok, it is added to the passwd file. But when I set the password for the new user, I get an error message that says, passwd: User not known to the underlying authentication module. I haven't encountered this problem before.
