As per the info from the list as well as from the manual, to activate the
2nd DTE of TA128U, the dial on the 1st DTE must have s125.0=1
I bought a new modem cable and fixed a new COM port on a second system.
(MLPPP is not supported by our ISP, hence I had to resort to using 2
64K PPP's on separate machines onto the DTE ports of the TA, which as per
all info, MUST work properly.)
Verified both the cable and port using an ordinary ZyXel 2864 and found
both working. So the hardware part is clean.
BUT when connected to the 2nd DTE of the TA128U, there is no response at
all. No AT commands work.
The AT string given for the 1st DTE is ats0=1q0v1&k00&j3b40&h3x7&e0s125.0=1
and for the 2nd DTE is atv1b40&h3x7s128.0=1
Any clues?
PS: The 1st PPP is working fine although I get connection at a max speed
of 57600 only.
