Yep, quite a normal thing to do. (You will need two phone line of course..)
Just set each one up to do its thing, Linux will take care of dividing its
time and other resources up.

I have heard it suggested that you need to be carefull that someone cannot
ring in on one modem and then use another to ring out. Could make your long
distance phone bill a bit nasty.

Have a look at the mgetty package for the fax services.
