I've run into this problem:
I installed slackware linux 3.3 from scratch on intel 486DX4 100/8 MB
RAM
and configured pppd-2.2.
I used kernel 2.0.30, 2.0.34 and 2.1.59.
When I connect to my equipment (acp70 by Telematics with ip support)
with
line speed 19200 bps through null-modem I've got download speed approx.
40 bytes/sec.
I have the same problem with ppp package version 2.3.5.
When I take WinNT and connect to the same equipment I've got download
speed
approx. 1.5 Kbytes/sec.
Can anybody suggest anything to improve speed of downloading?
BTW - I used irqtune and it didn't help completely. Results were the
same.
