I've recently installed linux kernel 2.0.35 and now the demand dialing
seems to
have stoped working (see parts of the syslog below). What am I missing
now?
Is there a new version of PPP that is supposed to work with 2.0.35
better?
It worked under 2.0.33 just fine.

... kernel: PPP: version 2.2.0 (dynamic channel allocation)
... kernel: PPP Dynamic channel allocation code copyright 1995 Caldera,
Inc.
... kernel: PPP line discipline registered.
... kernel: registered device ppp0
... pppd[6706]: demand dialling is not supported by kernel driver
version 2.2.0
... pppd[6706]: pppd 2.3.5 started by <user>, uid 0
... pppd[6706]: Terminating on signal 2.
... pppd[6706]: Connect script failed
... chat[6710]: SIGINT
... pppd[6706]: Exit.
