I have a machine here that is a linux slackware with 2.0.34 kernel. We
have upgraded the pppd to 2.3.4. This is run on a pentium 2 333 and
using digiboard pc/xem boards one with 48 ports one with 16 ports.
We are having a strange problem. The user will connect either with pap
or scripting with now problem. They can transmit data to and from the
internet fine. After a couple of minutes the ability to transmit data
stops. The modems are still communicating but the tcp/ip trafic is not
going through.
I have racked my brain for a month on this one. If anyone has any ideas
or things I can try please let me know. I fI don't get it fixed I
believe I will be burnt at the stake by my users.
