Hi all,
I'm a newbie. I want use a Linux box as my internet router for my TCP/IP LAN
through PPP connection.
I have use ppp-2.3.5 with dial-on-demand mode, it can do pass request
through, but it often auto-dial up unexpectedly. I am sure there are no one
in the LAN access the Linux box at that time. Why? When I disconnect the
Linux box from the LAN, it never occurred. What make the Linux box
auto-dialup frequently? What should I do?
Is there a better method to use Linux box as a PPP router? I hope it would
auto-dialup and connect to internet when the specified Machine(IP) send
request in the specified Time(13:00-15:00), and auto drop when line have
idled for some minute. Who can tell me how to set-up this PPP router in
detail?
