Then the problem is the WINS system. If you setup your Samba right, to do
the WINS-service, and not having NT-server, and the samba is up before any
other serving system (you listed 95, NT, Samba...) and all systems point
for WINS to your server, it shoud work. If you have an NT-server use it as
WINS-server. The remote client gets the WINS-IP with the ms-wins option of
pppd... (do you have the M$-WINS/DNS patch for 2.3.[34] pppd?)
Sometimes it is a prblem for the M$-Machines (serving) if they have to do
both NetBEUI and TCP/IP for transporting the M$-Network. Maybe you may
disable the NetBEUI-protocol on your lan.
I hope you use the samba-1.9.18p4.
