I got ppp demand dialing with IP Masq. Everything was running smoothly with the dialup being made automatically when I sent packets (except that I couldn't telnet to the gateway machine without the dialup being made if ifup ppp0 had been run). Anyway, after a while it wouldn't dial out unless I telnetted into the gateway, which would initiate the dialout. Now, that doesn't even work and I have to run ipdown ppp0 followed by ipup ppp0 for the thing to work.
