Hi there,

I'd like to implement a few things to automatize fetching/sending mail with
ppp. I understand this can be done by adding some scripts to
/etc/ppp/ip-up.d/, but don't know how to do this.

I'm on a stand alone machine running Debian 2.0, with a dial on demand
connection, running pppd 2.3-5, smail-3.2.0, fetchmail 4.3.9, and procmail
v3.11pre7

I send and download mail as follows:
$ pon provider
$ runq -v
$ fetchmail -v -a -u user_id

what I'd like is to be able to automatize this process, ie. to have all
those commands running after connecting, but I don't know how to implement
that on ip-up (or ip-up.d/).

Also, if possible, how to implement a script to update time from a server on
connection, and then update the CMOS time from it, all automatically.

TIA,

Horacio.
