Why is that i can never get pppd to report the established connection
speed? All i get is; 


Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS2
Remote message:


Even with debug enabled it wont show the connection speed.
When i use minicom to dialout it prints the connection speed fine after
its negotiated.  I tried to use diffrent INIT strings but it woudlnt help.
