I am still working on this damn EQL and it needs Van-Jacobson header
compression turned off and I can't figure out where to tell if it is off
or not. Using Redhat 5.2 netcfg utility to set up the sessions, I dunno
whether to use PPP option -vj or novj. Whatever option I enter in the
utility, it puts a line in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0
like PPPOPTIONS=novj. Either way I get the same thing when I enslave
the ppp devices to the eql device: the total throughput drops to a
little less than half of a single connection and is very erratic. I
figure since everything else looks OK, I need to see whether or not I am
really getting the compression turned off or not. Thanks.
