Hi, This problem may be more related to the serial list, but I am hoping that someone here has seen this problem and knows the solution (or has some ideas). We have been attempting to setup a ISDN link between Australia and Japan for last couple of weeks and not having much success. We have been able to get to Japanese TA's (NEC IT65's) connected using 64k synchronous with PPP over the top via a Japanese network simulator. When we move attempt to get a Australian TA (Telstra TA440) to connect to a Japanese TA via a ETSI network simulator(1), the call is established but the Telstra TA receives a stream of a constant character (0x78) or 'x'. This originates somewhere between the Japanese TA and the Telstra TA(2). We believe that this is some form of unrecognized synchronisation signal, but does any one have any ideas on it, what could be causing it, and/or how can get them talking ? Both TA's are configured to talk synchronous 64k, 8N1. Thanks Michael 1) The Telstra TA is a ETSI TA (called OnRamp by Telstra), and the Japanese TA's can receive calls on a ETSI network but not make calls. 2) We know that the PC is not sending this stream to the Japanese TA. -- -------------------------------------------------------- Michael Knox, Assistant Systems Administrator, | BH: +61 3 9264 3711 ICP R&D, NEC Australia Pty Ltd | FAX: +61 3 9264 3841 -------------------------------------------------------- - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-ppp" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
