Bryan, Samba is the answer...... Microsoft uses Netbios over some other protocol to communicate shares between machines. Netbios over TCP/IP,Netbios over IPX/SPX, Netbios over NetBeui Linux and Samba speak TCP/IP so I would recommend installing TCP/IP on all of the WIN95 machines as well as netbios....Get rid of the other protocols unless you need them for some reason.....( ie...Netbeui, IPX/SPX) Samba is well documented and easy to configure, unless you involve NT. :> The physical layout of your network wasn't very specific, but unless routers are involved, everything should be cake...... Installing TCP/IP and netbios should solve the Win95 browsing problem, and installing Samba will make Linux look just like a Windows box through "Network Neighborhood" *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** On 8/31/98, at 10:13 AM, Bryan Bassett wrote: >I can't get ipxripd to compile.
