pppd logs to syslogd. The name it uses to talk to pppd is "daemon"
so if you put
daemon.* /var/log/daemon
pppd will log to there as well (if you don't want them logged to messages,
you need to put !daemon.* in the messages section I think)
man syslogd
Small problem... all daemons log to daemon eg, ftpd, named, etc etc etc.
You may have to modify the source code to log elsewhere.
