The only way I have been able to get my Apple PB G3 Series to work under
LinuxPPC with the internal 56K modem is to use kppp, and increase the
pre-init delay, init-delay and guard time values (I'm not certain which
one actually makes it work).
Are there equivalents to these settings that I can pass to pppd, or with
chat? I'd really like to use a regular chat script instead of kppp.
I've read through the PPP and chat man pages, and the PPP Howto, but I
just can't see any equivalents to these parameters. Or are they modem
settings?
