I use the following to make my ppp connection:
atz OK atdt5551212 CONNECT ogin: 'username' sword: 'password'
action:ppp
This is the message I get from /var/log/message:
Apr 26 03:38:43 root chat[515]: pppd started root
Apr 26 03:38:53 root chat[515]: expect(atz)
Apr 26 03:39:03 root chat[515]: alarm
Apr 26 03:39:03 root chat[515]: connect script failed
Apr 26 03:39:28 root pppd[515]:failed
Apr 26 03:39:29 root pppd[514]: Exit.
I was trying this script to enable me use diald for my network.
I had initially setup ppp0 from linuxconfig and am able to get regular
connection by using ifup/ifdown ppp0 command.
Can anyone see what is wrong with the script?
