need some help with this one. i got an external modem (33.6) and dialing out through minicom to the internet is fine, i can connect at 33.6 but the problem is if i try through pppd, it will only connect at 9,600. i have tried to use all the init strings returned by minicom via at&V but this has no effect. i have placed the at&V in the pppscript to see the init returns and they match the minicom. so what i got is two identical inits but the minicom seems to connect properly yet i cant get the pppd to connect at high speed. i have aslo tried the setserial to make sure that ttyS1 was set for spd_vhi which it is.so if any of you wise people could offer any ideas i would welcome them - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-ppp" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
