I am getting "Bad FCS" errors on all packets received by Linux pppd. 1) My isdn connection is thru a Hayes Accura ISDN modem. 2) I am running Red Hat 6.0 (kernel 2.2.5 ppp 2.3.7) I have even tried upgrading to the 2.3.3 kernel. 3) This happens with both my ISP, Scruznet, and connections to the gandalf routers used at work. 4) I can connect to either fine from my Windows 98 box. (God how humiliating). 5) I have tried to make sure the at configuration commands (AT...) matches what is sent by windows. And, then a variety of other AT commands. 6) I have not looked at the RFC to see what the content of an LCP datagrams should be, but I have looked at the dumps and it appears that the initial frames sent have the correct ppp format. But, the linux initial LCP datagrams (Protocol 0xC021) are only 24 bytes from the Linux ppd and the Windows datagrams are 48 bytes. Has anyone gotten pppd to work from Linux using a Hayes Accura? modem? If so, can you tell me what your atv& is, the chat script used and what pppd parameters are needed?
