Hello Everybody,

I have an interesting situation here. I would like to use my linux box
for the internet gateway, so that other workstations in the network
will have an access to the Internet through the Linux box. Right now i
am connecting manually and using IP forwarding , but i am going to use
Diald so that all the users will have Internet Connectivity whenever
they want. In this way i can have the Proxy connection just like
WinGate in 95.

Now, one important thing i would like to have is individual
time-logging for the duration on the net for every workstation it
connects to. I can see the total time connected by the whole Linux
Box, But i need the time used by individual users from their
workstation so that later i can charge it. We have a small Internet
club, a sort of Internet Cafe. Shall I use some proxy like Squid? Does
any one know how this can be done. If there is some process, which
will put a log of the individual connection to some file, then i can
write a script to print out that duration as a bill.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Manohar
