Very recently I started 'playing' with Linux and I'm trying to set up a
Dial-in server. I kind of followed the instructions from the
PPP-HowTo. I'm using mgetty, login.config looks like this:
/AutoPPP/ - a_ppp /usr/sbin/pppd -detach asyncmap 0 netmask
255.255.254.0 proxyarp lock login kdebug 7
When I try to dial into my machine, the client can start pppd, but
doesn't receive any respond. The modem on the server is hanging and I
must kill the pppd, doesn't die alone.
This is what I get in my log file:

I've been stuck with this long time, I would really appreciate if
somebody can help me.
