I'm connecting from a RH 6.0 PC (pppd 2.3.7) to another running RH 5.0 (pppd 2.3.3). I added the "deflate 15" argument and see the modules loaded in syslog but the command "pppstat -z" shows no compression taking place. If both machines are capable (they are) and I've requested compression, why isn't it happening? Thanks.
