What it means is that I have modified my /etc/ppp-up script
to run ifconfig and parse it. So the new pppd, which fails after
so many busy signals, may be restarted from the script (which runs
from an unattended cron job.) Like a restart-only-if-needed script
instead of just a start script which would exit if it was not needed.

Know and adjust.

You can chew a Monsanto tomato all day long, it never loses its flavor.
