Hello, I use intel/linux-2.2.12 with pppd from ppp-2.3.9 (without kernel changes from 2.3.7). I have used linux with no problems. Recently, some 2/3 months, I noted a strange behavior of my conection with the ISP I subscribed. I have connection working but sometimes I noted my ip changes the name (I have a ppp connection not a static ip) and I don't know why and I saw this with netstat (no options, I run a infinite loop script for netstat to see what is going on). I noted also, after that my connection don't continue. My line is connected (it don't turn off) and I don't see any data coming but my PC try to send with no answer. I try to resolve names using nslookup but I don't have answer and it exists with no server response. I used to launch xnetload to see ppp activities (I also saw using pppstats, anyway) and I see no incoming data, only going data from my PC. I don't know why the name of the ip changes, I didn't make this question for the ISP I subscribed but could this be the problem with my connection? The ISP uses microsoft but I don't know exactly what OS. I saw this behavior (no incoming data) but I didn't note name change up to now, so I thought it could be the problem.
