I am trying to get the pppsetup to work on slackware-4.0 and while I went through the installation process just as it said, the modem does not dial when I enter ppp-go. I see it want to dial though, as the lights flicker and the light that would come on when it connects 'just_about_comes_on', but never makes it. I feel if I could at least get the dam thing to dial that I would be ok. As an aside, I tried using 'dip' and that works perfectly. It was suggested in one of the readme files . But while that 'was_nice', it doesn't help me with ppp-go working.
