My apologies for this being slightly off-topic, but I'd imagine it's the
sort of thing many people on this list may already have done.
I have configured a Linux box acting as a dial-out server and router,
with masquerading so that the internal class of IPs may access the
Internet, all in a very standard configuration. What I am trying to do
is to route in-coming connections TO some of the private IPs on the
network. For example, an in-coming connection on port 25 may route to
192.168.0.25 on port 25. In other words, to allow some of the machines
to act as servers for certain services.
I have been able to do this with WinGate on Windows but I can't seem to
work out similar functionality under Linux-2.0.32/ppp/ipfwadm/route.
Thanks!
