Hi,

In most cases to have the line speed instead of the DTE speed reported at
connection, the AT command for the modem is ATW2.

This will report i.e CONNECT 48000 insteas of CONNECT 115200.

This works with Rockwell /Conexant chipset based modems (i.e ZOOM)

With this kind of modem you can also try ATS95=44 which will report more
information about the connection such as i.e :

CARRIER 48000      -> Line speed

PROTOCOL LAPM -> Error corection protocol

COMPRESSION V42BIS   -> Compression protocol

CONNECT 115200               -> DTE speed

Hello,

In my experience, different modems have different ways of sending
"CONNECT" back to chat . Some modems include negotiated compression
protocols, some also include connection speed but some just plain
"CONNECT"

BTW, USR modems return connection speed as well...

regards....
