Amazingl enough I run both Linux servers and NT servers and find a bunch of
the things
in the article to be a bunch of bull. My Linux servers are cheaper to run
and maintain and
require less hardware cost to provide the same level of performance.
I find out about security holes and problems faster off from listservers
than I do from
any method that MS uses.
Though they are right about the fact that using Linux as a server requires a
knowledgeable
and experienced administrator .... give me a break ... Why do you think
that Bus Drivers have
to be specially licensed, or pilots have to be specially licensed... People
running servers had
better know what they are doing. Implying that anyone can run an NT server
is another bunch
of bull.
Though I find excellent uses for NT I will still maintain that NT has it's
place and Linux has
it's place. Saying that one is better than the other can only truly be said
when used in a
specific situation.
I am aware of the fact this is entirely off topic but there was no button
on the site for feedback
and I needed to vent !
Flames gladly accepted and moved to /dev/null
