I made the changes to the source it recommended for the 2.0 kernel and it didn't 
compile... it didn't run the precompiled one either.  some variable was screwed up or 
something

        It is eql.

        It works in 2.2.x as well as in 2.0.x. Note that eql must be
runing on both sides. I.e. your ISP must also runing eql on 2 modems.
