The log showed that pppd receives the peer's messages and understands them.
On the other hand the peer is "deaf" to messages from pppd. This is very
often because the wrong UART type is configured for the device file.
Use "setserial /dev/ttyS2" show the configured UART. The most common UART
in current use is a 16550A compatible. Don't believe documentation that
says it's a 16550, the manufacturers seem to have forgotten that there's
a difference.
