hello. PPP support is broken in kernel 2.3.25. i got the kernel off
www.kernel.org. pppd complains that the kernel doesn't have PPP supprt.
I have tried compiling the PPP support in the kernel as modules and even
compiled into the kernel. both dont work. when compiled as modules, i
manually loaded all the modules:
ppp_generic.o
ppp_async.o
slhc.o
i use kmod for loading modules. i do not use kerneld. i have a RH 5.2
with glibc 2.0 i have compiled with gcc 2.7.2.3. i am using pppd 2.3.5.
i use a modem so i think i need ppp_async.o loaded. plz. tell me if i
can do something to help.
