Re my ppp dial up problems:
I've now upgraded to RedHat linux 6.1 (xdm doesn't work anymore - but
that's a different story),
and I'm using wvdial (1.4) instead of kppp.
The problem I'm having now is that pppd says that the remote unit
must authenticate but pppd can't find a password that gives it an ip
address. Since wvdial automagically sets up the two secrets files -
I'm a little mystified.
Perhaps you can help?
I'm heading off to www.worldvisions.ca - they wrote wvdial and may be
able to shed some light.
