initial carrier rate

Hello everybody,

I am on a mission to write a script that prints the initial carrier rate
when I connect to my ISP, when I connect using minicom this is what I 
get:

ATDT55555555
CONNECT 31200/ARQ/V34/LAPM/V42BIS   

Is there any way to get ppp(2.3.7) to capture the part after CONNECT?
