Hi, I'm currently having problems trying to connect a Windows 2000 client with null-modem driver through an analogue leased line to a Linux ppp server. It works if the client tries to dial while the server is sending out LcpConfReq packets, BUT doesn't if dialing occurs after server has timed out. The server is now waiting for LcpConfReq from the client, which will not come because of either braindead nul-modem driver or Windows xxxx. What I want to do is change the code of pppd on Linux so that if I give it a lcp-max-configure setting of 0, it will keep on sending out requests indefinitively until someone connects. Can anyone give me any indication of where the code is that I need to change or on the wisdom of the decision?
