Just that ;-) The machine at the other end of the link wanted to use IPXCP
to run IPX over the PPP link as well; it's probably a good idea to uncheck
the appropriate option on the Windows machine, but this shouldn't (and didn't,
according to the log) stop the connection being established.

I assume this means that netwin has told the windows box to use that machine
as it's DNS server, yes.

As I understand it, your trace shows a connection eventually being established
(though whether with an optimal set of options, I don't know), and then being
shutdown a few seconds later at the remote machine's request:

So it looks like OK to me. Of course, if the Windows machine wasn't supposed
the shut the link down, then there's some problem..
