Hey .. Sorry to be adding more traffic to the list but I have a question which i have not found an answer to on the web.. At work we have a router which is configured for callback and saves an access list of usernames, passwords and corresponding home phonenumbers. >From Windows 98 at home, I can simply dial-up the phone number connected to that router and have the router authenticate me (I think using PAP) and hang-up the phone to issue a callback. the MS dial-up networking connection automatically switches to callback mode as soon as the router hangs-up and picks up the phone when it rings back. Unfortunately, from Linux.. the only thing I have left unconfigured is this ! it seems whenever i get a connection to the router and a username prompt, I try to type my username.. but no characters are echoed in the terminal. And nothing seems to happen ! I tried it using kppp and wvdial but I do not pass the authentication stage. I also have no idea how it will behave afterwards if assuming i get the authentication correct and hangup, how will kppp access a connection back ? If anyone knows how to help or where i can find this type of information please email me back at: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks !
