I tried different ways, I read a lot about ppp connections but it won't
help me.... This is the error that appears when I'm triyng to connect with
kppp. It calls to the number, starts to connect, but at the moment it should
enter the internet the connection brokes and this error message apears:

>> "the ppp daemon died unexpectedly"

What should I do?

I also tried to connect manually, writing the ip-s and hostname, tel number,
login password in different files, from console with ppp-on,
ppp-on-dialer.......
The same: when it should enter the Internet it brokes the connection.
Why??
My modem is ok, also tel line..... Rockwell 56 Data/voice/fax/modem; A
normal modem (not a windows one). Works in Dos, windows and in Linux
(because it calls that number it means I can call using it in LINUX). Just
the problem with this ppp daemon... why????

I took a look in /var/log/messages.... Can I send U this file? I don't
understand the last messages that appears when I'm trying to connect....
Maybe this message file is an important one and I can use it to solve my
problem... Who knows?

Please help me... I don't want to use windows for dial-up for my rest of the
life.... The problem with ppp is the only one I have with linux. I must
solve it and get rid of vfat partition and make a lot of free space instead
of it on my 3 G hard-disk;
Picard.
