To anybody that can help!
I have a dual boot setup with win 95 and RH 6.1. My modem works
under windows but not under linux (it used to on a previous install.
Therefore it's not a winmodem).
I do have ppp installed into the
kernel but for some reason I have no ping, telnet, minicom that I can
find on my hard drive. I thought I installed all the necessary goodies
for networking. After working on this problem for a long time I still
haven't found anything wrong. I can't even get a dial tone! my
/dev/modem points to the /dev/ttyS1 (in windows the modem is listed
under com2).
Has anyone had this problem?
