I have several linux based commservers in service. Most just dial in and get a
PPP connection. I have been asked to find out if there is a way to use the
commserver for dialing out. Anyone ever heard of a protocol called NASI?
The way it has been explained to me, they want to redirect the COM port of a PC
to the commserver via the network, then use the commserver modems as if they
were attached to the PC.
I know I can let them telnet in and use something like minicom to dial out, but
this doesn't seem to be what they are looking for.
If anyone can point me to some documents or web pages or linux mailing list, I
would appreciate it. Thanks...
